PetSavers – PetSavers-funded PhD investigating vaccine uptake and hesitancy starts at the University of Liverpool

8 October 2020

Welcome to Shona Bloodworth, who is just starting a PhD at the University of Liverpool that is part-funded by PetSavers. This study will use a mixed methods approach to quantify and characterise vaccine uptake and hesitancy in UK companion animals. Shona graduated with a first class degree in Physiological Science from the University of Bristol in 2018, then completed an MSc in International Public Health at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Dogs were an important feature of her formative years growing up in rural Leicestershire, and she is now looking forward to embarking upon research into practices relating to companion animal health.
