Veterinary education is an ongoing process throughout your professional career. Student or fully qualified vet, experienced surgeon or senior nurse, it’s important that your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offers you the chance to keep up to date with the latest technical developments in the veterinary world, as well as skills to help with day to day in your practice.

Annual CPD requirements for qualified professionals are currently specified as 35 hours for veterinary surgeons and 15 hours for veterinary nurses. That is an opportunity to undertake high quality education, with an organisation who can provide effective online and in-person training.

Alternatively, you may have decided to explore a postgraduate certificate or masters degree? BSAVA can offer you opportunities to pursue both routes.

We have a number of different educational sections below for you to explore, to find the professional development that is the right fit for you.
