Help select anniversary research

1 March 2017

As part of the 60th anniversary celebrations, PetSavers is spending £140,000 on funding four additional Masters Degree by research grants.  Following consultations with UK Vet Schools, a shortlist of six research subject areas has been agreed which are: the use of antibiotics, canine parasitic diseases, advances in oncology, quality of life assessment, chronic feline conditions and joint disease.

PetSavers are asking BSAVA members to vote for the one subject area from the shortlist which they think is most deserving of research funding.  The four research areas with the most votes will become the official PetSavers 60th anniversary grant subjects and grant applications can then be submitted on any of these four subject areas.  These four grants will be in addition to the current Masters Degree by Research grant programme that will also be opening later in the year.

The online ballot will close on 10th April 2017. Additionally, members can vote in person on the PetSavers stand on the BSAVA balcony at Congress.

BSAVA and PetSavers hope these four new research projects will result in some ground-breaking discoveries to mark this special 60th Anniversary.

Once logged in, BSAVA members can vote via the PetSavers page
