Recognising and fighting rabies, and giving your clients the correct advice in order to avoid introducing it are reported in the Spring issue of the European Journal of Companion Animal Practice (EJCAP).

Interactive papers

Other interactive CPD papers in the issue, both at refresher and state-of-the art level, include those on orthomanual veterinary therapy (Aharon et al.), the diagnostic value of murmur intensity in small dogs (Ljungvall et al), uncommon bone pathologies (Font) as well as “How to…&” podcasts on seizuring animals (Kenny) and fine needle aspiration (Scurrell).

Veterinary app & book reviews

Plus don’t forget to check out the quarterly review of veterinary apps (practice organisation, ophthalmology tutorial and the evaluation of stress in cats) and books (on cardiology, therapeutics and on blood parameters in exotic pets). FECAVA news in this issue includes the cat care information sheet, updates on the megaesophagus outbreak in Latvia and an invitation to apply for the FECAVA travel scholarship. And of course a reminder of the 2016 EuroCongress that will take place in Vienna in June.
