Deadline approaching for 2016 FECAVA Travel Scholarship

8 March 2016

Applicants have until 31st March to apply for the 2016 FECAVA Travel Scholarship, an initiative that enables groups of small animal veterinary surgeons from different parts of Europe, to visit each other for a few days and observe each other’s practice experience. The scholarship, totalling €2,000 per year, is made possible through the support of LABOKLIN, who partner FECAVA on this project.

The winning applications for the 2015 FECAVA Travel Scholarship were announced at the FECAVA Congress in Barcelona and were awarded to Alasdair Hotston Moore and Alex Gough from Bath Veterinary Referrals in Bath, UK and Iustin Girea and Livia Dumitrescu from Ortovet in Bucharest, Romania. The Romanian vets visited the UK in February and the UK vets will be travelling to Romania in May.

To apply for the 2016 programme, companion animal vets from UK practices are invited to submit an application giving a description of the members of the group and identifying two or three potential regions in Europe (within FECAVA member countries) which they would like to visit. A list of FECAVA member associations throughout Europe can be viewed here :
