Animal Activity Licensing Regulations: Request for BSAVA members to highlight Kennel Club Survey to Clients
October 2018 saw the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations come into place, updating legislation which had been in place for well over half a century. Licensing activities involving animals impacted by the new legislation and accompanying Guidance included dog breeding.
Breeders who might be affected by the Regulations may be clients of some of our BSAVA members who are vets in practice. To assess the impact of the Regulations and Guidance the Kennel Club have launched a breeder survey, the results of which are intended to inform the review of the Regulations planned for later this year.
BSAVA members may wish to inform their clients who might be affected by the legislation of the survey by sign-posting them to this news story on the BSAVA website so they can access the survey link: https://bit.ly/2SqWHWT
