Articles of Association
The Articles of Association, are the regulations governing the relationships between the stakeholders of the Association, and are a requirement for the establishment of a company under the law of the United Kingdom and many other countries. The Articles of Association form the constitution of a company.
A proposal to amend the Articles of the Association was taken to a General Meeting in November 2020. The proposed amendments allowed the Association to hold meetings in different formats in the future, an issue that had arisen because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The proposal was accepted by the General Meeting.
The articles are supported by the Association Rule Book which outlines how the articles are then implemented to provide the appropriate governance structures and oversight.
The Rule Book is regularly reviewed by the Board of the Association to ensure that it is fit for purpose. The Rule Book amendments are reported to Council and any General Meetings.
