BSAVA Guide to Procedures in Small Animal Practice, 3rd edition
Editors: Nick Bexfield and Julia Riggs
This new edition has been fully revised and updated to include the most relevant information on diagnostic and therapeutic procedures routinely performed in small animal practice. Four new procedures have been included: cystostomy tube placement, endotracheal intubation, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and wet-to-dry dressings. A suite of high-definition videos designed to augment the text and highlight precise techniques accompanies the book. Access to the videos is included with the printed book.

BSAVA Manual of Canine and Feline Thoracic Imaging, 2nd edition
Editors: Tobias Schwarz and Peter Scrivani
The thorax is the most difficult area to interpret in radiography due to the summation and constant motion of nearly all thoracic structures, the complexity of the functional aspects of the thoracic organs and the large degree of overlap of radiographic findings in physiological and pathological processes. The new edition aims to help practitioners, students and radiologists meet this challenge. The Manual begins by covering the different imaging modalities and then goes on to discuss the individual body systems in a systematic manner. A wealth of images and specially commissioned illustrations provide an extra dimension.
Congress Price: £76.00 (BSAVA Members: £49)
BSAVA Manual of Canine and Feline Endocrinology, 5th edition
Editors: Carmel Mooney, Mark Peterson, and Robert Shiel
The latest edition of this popular Manual provides a ready reference for veterinary surgeons in general practice and is also useful for nurses, students and graduates embarking on further qualifications. The first section provides information on the aetiology of endocrine diseases and principles for interpreting test results. This is followed by several chapters dedicated to how endocrine diseases affect other organ systems. The next section focuses on individual endocrine glands and their inherent diseases. The final part of the book is dedicated to investigating multiple endocrine neoplasia, autoimmune polyglandular syndromes and erythropoietin excess.

Look who’s talking!
Once again, we will be holding a number of talks on the Publications Stand. These sessions were very popular last year, and we are pleased to offer an expanded programme for this year’s event. No booking is required, but space is limited.
This year’s programme sees Matthew Rendle and Jo Hinde-Megarity discussing contextualized care conundrums and weighing welfare. Georgia Woods-Lee will be discussing senior pet nutrition, and Fergus Allerton will look at what’s new on our PROTECT ME poster, and where you can reduce your antibiotic use. See the full programme of talks here.
If that’s not enough, join us daily at 1pm for our lunchtime quiz with guest host. Booking not required – just come along to the Publications Stand and get quizzing!
‘Party on the Pubs Stand’
Join us on Thursday evening during the exhibition drinks (5–7 pm) to take part in our party games. With a bean bag toss game, guess the number of sweets in a jar, a rope hoopla and a buzz wire to pit your skills against, there is something for everyone.
Make sure to pay our Publications team a visit on stand D600 in the Exhibition Hall. See you there!
