Visit the Isle of Man this July

BSAVA are hosting a weekend focused on Emergency and Critical Care CPD, in Douglas on the Isle of Man this July.
The weekend is split into three modules, which are bookable as separate sessions or as a block booking, plus there are great savings to be made if you register for all three by 14th June.
Module 1
Saturday 9th July – 9am – 1pm
The first session will cover the use of fluid therapy in haemorrhagic shock, blood gas analysis – does it change your approach to fluid therapy and respiratory emergencies.
Module 2
Saturday 9th July – 2pm – 6pm
This session will focus on the management of GDV, blocked cats, aortic thromboembolism and will end with an open forum and case discussion.
Module 3
Sunday 10th July 9am – 1pm
The final session will consist of a practical focusing on placement of tubes including chest drains, over the wire intravenous catheters, oesophageal feeding tubes and much more.
Your 12 hours of CPD is delivered by speaker, Sophie Adamantos BVSc CertVA DACVECC MRCVS FHEA, who is an Emergency and Critical Care Clinician and an RCVS Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care.
The cost of each module for BSAVA members is &£120 and for non-members is &£240.
If a member books all three sessions by 14th June , they can attend the whole weekend for just &£240 (saving &£120) and non-members can attend for &£480 (saving &£240).
This weekend can double as a mini-break on the beautiful Isle of Man. The island is just a 2 – 3 hour ferry ride accessible by ports in Heysham, Liverpool, Dublin and Belfast. Alternatively, you can fly there in under 80 minutes from 12 UK and Irish airports. (Birmingham, Bristol, Blackpool, Glasgow, Gloucester, Liverpool, London City, London Gatwick, Manchester, Newcastle, Belfast City and Dublin).
The Isle of Man has a lot to offer those who like the great outdoors with stunning walking routes, mountain bike trails and climbing adventure parks plus wildlife lovers can enjoy bird, seal, shark, dolphin and whale watching. You can also enjoy a more relaxed weekend with a journey along one of the island’s heritage railways.
