Leadership Update

Kevin Fairless has left his role as Chief Executive Officer.

We are pleased to announce that Anthony Welsh, Head of Finance, has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer. Anthony brings a strong understanding of BSAVA’s operations and finances and will work alongside the Executive leadership team and the Board to ensure BSAVA continues to deliver for our members and the profession.

Susan Little, BSAVA President, said: “I’m delighted that Anthony has taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer, and I have every confidence in him and the wider staff team to continue the Association’s work.”

Anthony Welsh said: “We have an exceptional team of purpose led people who are committed to making sure BSAVA delivers for its members. After four years as Head of Finance, I’m grateful to the Board for their support, and I’m looking forward to bringing our operational teams together to grow our finance, people, governance and digital capabilities, so we can continue to meet the needs of our members and the wider veterinary community.”
