Clare Balding kicks off the ‘best ever’ SPVS VMG Congress 2020
31 January 2020
Delegates, speakers and exhibitors enjoyed a packed two days at the SPVS and VMG Congress 2020, held at Celtic Manor, Newport from 23-25 January 2020. The event was opened by Clare Balding, who also chaired a moving and informative panel discussion on Equality and Inclusion. Speakers covered topics as varied as the dangers of sleep deprivation and how to make telemedicine work for GP practice.
As well as this there were over 75 stands from sponsors and exhibitors, led by Platinum Sponsors, Citation and Boehringer Ingelheim. A new addition to this year’s congress was a stream within the exhibition highlighting exhibitors’ innovations.
Incoming VMG President Richard Casey said:
‘It is exciting to hear from our delegates that congress content just keeps getting better. Obviously, Clare Balding and all this year’s speakers are going to be a hard to follow. But, 21st century veterinary practice calls for 21st century leadership, and I’m sure we can raise the bar that little bit higher! Watch this space.’
Incoming SPVS President Anna Judson added:
‘Delegates as well as Exhibitors told us SPVS VMG Congress 2020 was vibrant, inclusive, moving, entertaining and friendly! As the largest UK non-clinical veterinary event we will continue to air conversations and subjects that are relevant, original, topical and give inspiration for the future.’
